About

Well, hello. My name is Heather. Some call me little h. Some call me riddlebiddle. Actually, only my mother ever called me that. It’s a long story.

I write about pretty much whatever is on my mind. Lately, that means settling into the fair city of Oakland, honing my cooking skills, and being ridiculously homesick. You should be warned that I write much like I talk, which is to say Southern with a lot of urban slang thrown in for good measure. I like metaphors and sentence fragments and use both freely. I also swear for no particular reason.

When I have the time and discretionary income, I’ve been known to write here: Heat.Eat.Review. I also Twitter from time to time, completely for free. If you want to see the kinds of books and music and kitchen equipment I’ve been lusting after, you can view my Wishlist here.

If you have something nice to say, feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me at a.heather.m (at) gmail (dot) com. If you have something nasty to say, I’ll probably delete it and then curse your mother. But you’ll send it anyway, so go ahead. To the rest of you, happy blogging.

Me too. I like to lay ‘em on thick. And spread ‘em around with a spatula. In my blog.

  • Awesome. We shall be fast friends then :)

  • Hey, I’m in your blogroll! Thanks! And welcome to the Town, although by now I’m sure you’ve learned the lay of the land and the calls of the wild, still, welcome are always, er, welcome.
    YouknowwhatImean!!!

  • Thanks for the welcome! I think it might be stretching it a bit to say I’ve got the lay of the land. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface…hence the frequent visits to your blog :)
